Girls Weekend in Sausalito
A few weekends ago, we had a girls getaway to Sausalito. We spent the night at Cavallo Point and then hung out in Downtown Sausalito the next day. We had lots of laughter, good conversations and just some great, quality girls time. I feel so lucky to have been blessed with wonderful friends from high school.
Even though it was summertime, it was windy.
Tracy lives in Sausalito and has the cutest place downtown. We loved being able to experience her new hood. One of the most gorgeous places in California to live.
Dinner at Cavallo Point was very eventful. Ending with fireside champagne (not me of course).
A story that is just better told in person.

Oakland Zoo
We went back to the Oakland Zoo this past weekend. We hadn't been since Roman was a baby, so it was fun to experience it when he was more aware of all the animals. His favorites were the Elephants, Giraffes and most of all the Alligators (probably because they were submerged under water).
Roman loved going up to each exhibit and just watch the animals.
Mesmerized by the gators.
While Roman was watching a turtle an older boy got a little too close for comfort. Jason and I both saw Roman give him a little nudge in the ribs. The boy gave him a little nudge back and Roman started crying. We started laughing since we knew Roman had started it. It was pretty hilarious.
Guess who dressed Roman in a matching green tee? Too cute!
He loves the carousel so much that he cried when we got off. (This is the 3rd time this has happened on a carousel.) This man loves his rides. Can't wait til he is a little bigger to go on more of the rides.

Roman's Newest Talent
I'm such a proud Mom! Look what Roman figured out how to do today. Everyday it is something new and today he learned to pick his nose. Now whenever I say, "Nose Pickey" he does this. At least I don't have to pick it for him anymore.
Here is a much cuter pic that I got of him today. Taking photos isn't easy at this age, so I was proud of capturing this sweet look.

Summertime
I Love Summer!
We have been spending lots of time at the pool, in the backyard, at the park and all the fun places to visit with an active toddler. I know I have mentioned it a lot lately, but I am feeling so thankful for Roman. He is at such a fun age and I am trying to soak up every moment I have with JUST him. As I just entered my 3rd trimester, I have been very emotional about Roman. My life has revolved around only him these past 16 months and although I know a sibling will bring such joy to him, I also can't help but worry about how the transition will affect him. My hope is that I am able to always have patience and continue to shower him with the love and affection he is used to. I know that he will be a wonderful big brother and I also need to remind myself to just let it all happen.
Some Summer Pics...
Best Purchase Ever. $7.00 at Kohl's and provides hour of fun for Roman and Marley. Both of them are obsessed with water.
Does Roman look bigger? I think he has gained a few pounds in the last few weeks. This boy has a crazy appetite and will eat anything and everything.
Tyler taking Roman for a spin in his new Jeep.
These 2 are the best of friends. You will notice a lot of my photos always have Marley in them too since they are always with each other. It melts my heart how much they both love one another.
The 4th is one of our favorite holidays. We have a neighborhood parade and hosted a little pre-parade festivity at our house. I loved decorating Roman's car the night before.
Roman and some of the boys from his playgroup. We are now in the dirt phase. He loves digging around, picking leaves and making a mess.
We visited Fairyland and Super Franks the past few weeks. I recommend both places for toddlers. We can't wait to find more fun places to visit.
